JUNE 10 & 11 - Jemez LoUpES
That was a killer time in the Jemez this weekend. Thanks to everyone that came out rode and hung out with us. Someone counted 24 people around the campfire on Saturday night. Thats gotta be a record...at least a Dusty Roadrunner record. Big thanks to Michael Thomas Coffee, Gyros Mediterranean, and Barbacoa El Primo for the support and food/drink we had. That was some amazing food we were treated to. Please go by their stores and support them. They rip! Also special shout out to Bryce, Ross, Blythe, and Molly for the pizza and cookies. I feel like I ate more calories than I burned over the weekend. I think that's how its supposed to be though.
Results are now posted. If you shotgunned a beer at the finish on Saturday then you got 10 minutes off your total time. I realize I may have told some of you 30 minutes or an hour would be subtracted but I forgot who I told that to so everyone gets 10 minutes off. Maybe next time I'll curb my excitement and write it down...or not. If you don't like it, puke up the beer you drank, e-mail us a picture of it and I will take an additional 10 minutes off your time and give you free entry into the El Rito race on September 9th. Boom! More bargains than a dollar store up in here. Stay tuned here and our Instagram page for updates. See you out there!

Cost: Free
Start location: Click HERE for the start location
Start time: 10:00AM both days
Entry Limit: 74 So sign up now!
Rules: Sign in before the race and sign out when you finish. When you sign in we'll give you the run down of using the Time Machine to get your finish time to log on the sign out sheet. Roads will be open to traffic and trails will have other users on them. Any vehicle on the course is not expecting to encounter a bike race on these roads so please stay to the right hand side of the road. Don't ride like an idiot. Be nice to other people. Ride within your abilities. You are responsible for your own safety, navigating the course, and addressing any mechanicals that may arise. Last and most important have fun.
Details: Back again for 2023! This is a good one. Three distance options; short (18 miles & ~1,700ft of gain), medium (28 miles & ~2,700ft of gain), and long (54 miles & 5,500ft of gain). The medium and long courses will be run clockwise on Saturday and counter-clockwise on Sunday. The short course will be the same both days. Beautiful forest, twisty roads, and epic views. We don't believe in waking up before 6AM and even waking up that early is a struggle so we'll start the races at 10AM to allow you to wake up at a reasonable hour and drive out the mornings of the races.
We're riding Saturday and Sunday and planning to camp Saturday night. There are a lot of dispersed camping spots close to the start/finish area so come join us. If you can carpool, you should. We are planning to waive the race entry fee for everyone that carpools. How is that for a bargain?! The area near the start/finish has a lot of good dispersed camping. We've got a good camp spot in mind on FR69 (huh huh huh hey Beavis they start their race on FR69, coool) but if that one is taken we won't be far away. Look for the van with the graffiti banner on it's probably us.
Course Description: It's gonna be badass. We really like these loops and are pretty sure you will too. There aren't any gas stations or convenience stores on the route so plan accordingly. If you bring a water filter there are a few streams to filter water from. The best place to filter is near mile 15 on the Saturday long loop and mile 38 on the Sunday long loop. You can't miss it. The route goes right over the river. Heck, two years ago someone was so excited to see the river they jumped in from the bridge. No joke! We're betting the long course takes around 3-5 hours to complete so you'll probably be alright without packing a water filter.

See you on June 10th and/or 11th!
