2025 marks the coming of age of the Dusty Roadrunner. We're 5 years old now. We're ready to vote, and to buy lottery tickets, and nudie magazines, and cigars, and fireworks, and to get tattoos, and to be taken seriously...ehhh maybe not the last one. We're but a toddler, yearning for fun times on bikes and Michael Thomas Coffee and Gyros Mediterranean and barbacoa tacos and bubbly beverages while being stuck in school, learning to read and write and do math, and how to wipe our own butts and that not every bike ride is a tailwind descent. Ahhh the agony and ecstasy of the great age of 5.
Much like a 5 year old, we've been busy buying fireworks and cigars and have neglected the website for two months. Rest assured there will be a 2025 Dusty Roadrunner and we'll get the race pages and registration details posted just as soon as I get another glass of get crap done juice. Have a gander at the dates and start training. Also, we're leaning toward a double race weekend on April 12 and 13. Both rides will be in different places but close to Socorro. We'll camp on Saturday night, so if you're into that sort of thing you should join us. We're doing some recon on a Saturday course option, this weekend (03/01 and 03/02). After that we'll post the course and registration info.
We're also going to do a few Tuesday night South Valley Roubaixs in late March and early April. I need to firm up dates with the DogHouse Racing crew to make sure we don't overlap with crits that they do.
Keep your eyes peeled here for updates. If you stay on this page and press refresh every 30 seconds you're bound to be the first to find out. Heck, you might even know before Ryan and beat him to registering first. Booooooom!
The Dusty Roadrunner is a collection of free bike events on courses throughout the Land of Enchantment. The courses will be challenging, yet sub-epic in design. All courses will be well suited to a cyclocross/gravel/all-road bike, but you are welcome to use any bike you wish. All events will be unsupported, you will be responsible for managing any mechanicals or mishaps you encounter. Your safety is your responsibility! Courses will not be marked, GPS course files will be posted on each event page, it is your responsibility to read the course description and navigate with a GPS device. All races require pre-registration. There will be no race day registration. We will require that you sign a waiver to participate. Finish time and placing will be recorded.
Clear your schedule, sign up, and come out for a good time on the bike. The Dusty Roadrunner Gravel Series is going to be rad and free and
