October 13th - Cancelled
We decided to cancel this race because our friends in Las Cruces wanted to put on a state championship road race on the same day. We enjoy racing road bikes as much as dirt bikes and there has been a lack of road racing in the state, so we opted to give them the date.
To offset the disappointment of this race being cancelled, we've added two mid-week gravel rides in October to the schedule and plan to host a handful of weekend cyclocross races later this year.
What is cyclocross? Think of it as short track gravel racing with occasional obstacles to jump over. It's kind of like steeplechase but with a bike. It's fun and you can drink bubbles during the race instead of waiting until after.
The details for the midweek gravel rides are posted now. The details for the cyclocross races will be posted in another couple of weeks.
If more rides don't offset your disappointment that this one is cancelled, we'll issue high dollar refunds to everyone that sends us your bank routing and account numbers, your social security number (we need the full number, not just the last 4), name of the street your grew up on as a kid, and your mother's maiden name. P.S. don't really do this, it is dumb to provide this information to us or anyone on the internet.
